NCIA Board Approved Continuous Education Units (CEUs)
Certified Assisted Living Managers need CEU every biennial period ending June 30 of the odd year .Join Phoenix medical training institute Today. We offer eLearning CEUs that allow Licensed Assisted Living Facility Manager to obtain 40% of their required number of CEUs essential for license renewal online. These are required and advised by NCIA Board.
Why the need for CEU’s:
According to the new rule (R4-33-501(E) administrators and managers are required to maintain records of their continuing education for three (3) years. Thus it’s the manager’s work to ensure compliance with the state and federal laws. Copies are kept in every student folder for easy access at PMTI offices.
NCIA Board Auditing Compliance Procedure.
The NCIA Board ensures compliance through Radom visits . First by sending out renewal notices every February. and selecting a percentage of managers to audit for compliance with the continuing education (CE) regulation for renewing a certificate. ALFM will get the audit notice with the renewal form. Along with returning your renewal application, the NCIA Board requires you to submit documentation showing your completion of the required 24 hours of Board approved continuing education within the required time period. You can rest assured knowing that your PMTI CEUs have all been licensed by the NCIA Board. Your certification of completion includes the NCIA Board license number, your guarantee of compliance!
NOTE:
The NCIA Board requires that a minimum of 60% of approved courses be taken through classroom instruction. The balance can be taken online.
60% Explained : Consider A manager needing 24 NCIA CEUs to renew their license, this means 14 must be taken in-classroom, while 10 can be taken online. PMTI provides both in classroom and online programs to help you meet your NCIA Board Standards thus avoiding penalties.
CEU Requirement :
Managers still need to take Board approved CEUs, in the amount of one hour per month, every biennial period ending June 30, of every odd numbered year. Federal Law requires all HealthCare workers to take a minimum 12 hours ongoing training (CEU’s) annually according to R4-33-501 Continuing Education Requirement
There is a difference between CEU’s and Contact Hours. Kindly check out the video in the top right corner for details.
